Boris Pasternak (born 10th February 1890) is the current leader of Tomsk and a former poet, novelist, and literary translator. He is a member of the Decembrists, which is the ruling political party of Tomsk.

Biography[]

Early-life[]

Pasternak was from the city of Moscow. The writer Leo Tolstoy was a close friend to many of his family members; this heavily influenced his interest for literature. During the Soviet period of Russia, he became known by his poems. This came to an end when Germany started Operation Barbarossa; he managed to flee from Leningrad before it's siege and later occupation by the Wehrmacht to the city of Tomsk.

Formation of the Central Siberian Republic and Siberian War[]

Alongside the many other Soviet intellectuals that resided in the city, the Central Siberian Republic was founded, from which he was eventually elected as the president. The republic thrived under his leadership, but during Genrikh Yagoda's attempt to reconquer the Siberian territories of the republic, under what remained from Nikolai Bukharin's government, the two countries were severely weakened as many of the local authorities and military garrisons revolted against the current government. The Siberian Black Army being the one with the most support. During this time, he got lung cancer and it is just a matter of time when he dies from it.

Present-day[]

As of 1962, the future of Tomsk is uncertain. Surrounded by enemies, new and old on all sides, as well as cancer that is taking toll on him, President Pasternak must take his final decisions into motion, one of them being emergency elections that shall decide the future leader of the republic.

In-game[]

Boris Pasternak, much like Alexander Yegorov and technically Andrey Vlasov, cannot reunify Russia, as he will die from cancer that is taking heavy weight on his own health. During his last remaining days, Pasternak will change the structures of provisional government, allowing the system of saloons to take place. After all necessary focuses are complete, Pasternak dies, temporarily being replaced by the interim government before one of the representatives of each saloon is elected as the president of the Central Siberian Republic.
