Lainé can only assume power in Brittany should the player go down his path, in which case he will coup Olier Mordrel, resulting in the latter committing suicide. After Lainé assumes power, there are three possible paths the player can take:
- The Hermit Kingdom: In order to preserve Brittany's Celtic culture and protect it from the "Degenerates" of the world, Lainé will shut Brittany's borders down.
- The Pariah State: Lainé embraces the image that foreign media has put on his state, believing that this makes his decision to expand the black market the "correct" one.
- A New Alliance: Lainé attempts to turn Brittany into an ally of the SS State of Burgundy and adopt the Burgundian System. This immediately results in Burgundy invading and annexing Brittany.
