George McGovern (born July 19, 1922) is an American historian and politician serving as the junior United States senator for South Dakota. McGovern currently a member of the Democratic Party in the Republican-Democratic Coalition.

Biography[]

Early-life and World War II[]

McGovern grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota, where he was a renowned debater. Upon the US entry into World War II, he volunteered for the U.S. Army Air Forces.

Post-war (1946-present)[]

After the unfortunate defeat in the Second World War, he earned a degree from Dakota Wesleyan University and from Northwestern University, culminating in a PhD, and became as a history professor. During the 1960 United States elections, McGovern has been elected as a senator for South Dakota. Now he serves alongside with Joe Foss (representing the Nationalists) who was also an ace fighter during the war.

As a Liberal Democrat, McGovern's unofficial slogan is "Acid, Amnesty, and Abortion." a phrase made by conservative journalist Robert Novak. McGovern's implied softness on social issues has made him a divisive figure in American politics. Another controversial view from McGovern is the softening of relations with the Greater Germanic Reich and Empire of Japan. He wishes for a detente in the hopes of deescalating world tension, and so that no more American blood is spilled in fighting proxy wars abroad.

In-game[]

He can publicly express interest to run for presidency in 1972 (except if the '68 election won by the RDC), but eventually losing the Democratic primary to Jeane Kirkpatrick.
