Harry S. Truman is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. He is a Senator from missouri who Went after the Democratic Nomination for President four times before retiring from the Senate in 1964. All Unsuccessful, he campaigned on a Hardliner Anti-Nazi Platform and for Universal Healthcare. Which inspires LBJ's attempts to introduce Universal Health Care. He can be appointed Secretary of State should Philip Hart win the 1968 Presidential election. If made Secretary of State he will attempt to make the OFN stronger and Stand up to Nazi Germany. Despite being secretary of state, most foreign policy power is given to Henry Kissinger and he is kept out of the loop on negotiations with japan, only learning about it when the Pacific transit Treaty is brought before the Senate. He can die early if he is overworked in Harts path and Henry Kissinger will become Foreign Secretary.

In real-life, Truman was the vice president of Franklin D. Roosevelt during the latter's fourth term, replacing Henry A. Wallace. After Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945, Truman was sworn in to office, and he served out the rest of Roosevelt's term, and won re-election in 1948, defeating Dewey (which, among other things, created the infamous "Dewey Defeats Truman" headline.
