The Imperial State of Iran is a country in Western Asia. They border the Socialist Republic of Turkmenistan to the north-east, Reichskommissariat Kaukasien to the north-west, the Kingdom of Afghanistan and the Republic of India to the east; and the Iraqi Republic and the Republic of Turkey to the west. Iran has observer status in the Einheitspakt.

History[]

During the division of the British Empire at the end of World War II, ownership of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company was transferred to the Greater Germanic Reich, being rebranded as the Deutsch-Persiche Ölgesellschaft (German-Iranian Oil Company).

In 1953, Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh was deposed in a German-backed coup, as a result of him nationalizing the DPÖ. In the aftermath of this, the Shah was greatly empowered and a pro-German regime was installed.

In-game[]

At the start of the game, Iran will be independent, ruled by the Shah. However, during the Oil Crisis, the Shah will be assassinated, which will eventually result in a civil war between the existing Imperial State (led by Farah Pahlavi and supported by Germany), and the Revolutionary Iranian Liberation Front, an alliance of the communists (the Socialist Federation of Iran, led by Iraj Eskandari), the constitutional monarchists (the Shahdom of Iran, led by Shapour Bakhtiar), the Democrats (the Democratic Republic of Iran, led by Karim Sanjabi and supported by the United States), the Islamists (the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Ruhollah Khomeini and supported by the Empire of Japan), and the Baluchi Liberation Front (led by Sher Mohammad Marri). After the Imperial State is defeated, however, differences between the parties will result in them collapsing into another civil war, save for the Baluchi Liberation Front, who will declare neutrality (as they merely wished to win independence, due to them being majority Sunni while the rest of Iran is Shia). Should the Democratic Republic win, this will lead to Iran joining the Organization of Free Nations.

Originally the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, ownership of the corporation was transferred to Germany during the division of the British Empire at the end of the Second World War. Mosaddegh's Legacy
  • Daily Political Power Gain: +0.10
  • Consumer Goods Factories: 20%
  • Stability: -10.00%

Our nation still vividly remembers of the 1953 Coup against the government of the Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh. Orchestrated by Germany following Mosaddegh's nationalisation of the DPÖ, many both domestically and internationally view the coup as the death of Iranian democracy. With the installation of a Pro-German regime and the Shah greatly empowered, the trust between our government and the people will take a long time to heal, should it ever heal at all.

The Imperial Guard
  • Hot Acclimatization Gain Factor: +10.0%
  • Elite Infantry Attack: +10.00%
  • Elite Infantry Defense: +20.00%

Fiercely loyal to the Shah, the Imperial Guard are the most elite combat units in the Middle East. Acting as the Shah's personal guard and serving as an elite branch of the army, many of our nation's finest soldiers come from its ranks. With some of the most modern equipment, harshest training and strictest recruitment tests in the world they are the true heirs to the Persian Immortals of old.
