The Iraqi Civil War is one of the many wars that take place during the Oil Crisis, and another conflict where the OFN, Co-Prosperity Sphere and Einheitspakt all combat each other. It is also one of the only wars to have more than 3 combatants, as different factions Iraq are supported by all three blocs. The Iraqi Republic, the original client state of Italy sees support from the Italian Empire. The Islamic Republic of Iraq being another faction, leaning more to Shia Islamic teachings. Then the Republic of Iraq, which aims to create an anti-influential independent Iraq. Ba'athist Iraq, led by Saddam Hussein will aim to create Iraq, which aligns with the Einheitspakt.
Apart from all three major countries and the Italian Empire sending volunteers, the Iraqi Civil War is another testing ground for Guangdong with a helicopter PTRG division, which can send a research division to Iraq, depending on if they fight for the Islamic Republic, or the Iraqi Republic.
Outcomes[]
If the Iraqi Republic is victorious, depending if Italy is neutral, they will remain an Italian puppet, or if Italy aligned with the OFN, Iraq will then become an OFN member. Should Italy align with the Co-Prosperity Sphere, Iraq will then align with the Sphere.
Should the Islamic Republic of Iraq win, Iraq will become economically aligned with the Sphere, depending if Italy maintained neutrality or joined the OFN.
Should the Republic of Iraq win the civil war, Iraq will not become a member of either the OFN or Sphere, and will become independent from the Italian Empire.
Should Ba'athist Iraq win, Iraq will attempt to create a United Arab Republic, with Dhofar Oman, the Egyptian Revolutionary Command Council, the Yemen Arab Democratic Republic and Sudanese Free Officers Organization.
