Kampfgruppe Heilige Pflicht is a breakaway state from Germany during the SS Civil War. It consists of the German territories of Tyrol & Slovenia. The Kampfgruppe finds itself north of the Italian Empire, east of the Swiss Confederation, west of the Kingdom of Hungary and the Independent State of Croatia, and south of Austria, the Black Band and Reinhard Gehlen's Deutsches Reich. The position of the Kampfgruppe is a favorable one, as most of the lands controlled by it is mountainous and Peiper's defensive skills as a commander makes it a lot more difficult to push through than other breakaway states. As such, an offensive war against them is ill-advised.
It's led by Joachim Peiper, an SS-Obersturmbannführer both historically in the likeness of Heinrich Himmler and an ally of Reinhard Heydrich. The Kampfgruppe Heilige Pflicht finds itself leaning more to Germania than Ost-Paris as Peiper's former ally is more in his interests than Himmler. Upon breaking away from the Greater Germanic Reich, the nation has control over the German missile stockpile along with several other minor breakaway states.
Even within the SS, Peiper's command is infamous for its refusal to show any quarters. Regular massacres of both civilians and POW make Peiper unpopular to the Wehrmacht as well as civilians. Peiper is therefore walking a tightrope which may be his downfall should the situation ever turn sour.
