The Kingdom of the Netherlands was a small country located in Northwestern Europe. Its territory is now split between Reichskommissariat Niederlande, the Greater Germanic Reich, and its former holdings in East Asia are occupied by the Empire of Japan and Indonesia. The Dutch kingdom is currently government in exile based in Suriname.

Pre-war history[]
The Netherlands was a country that had a mostly trade based economy, and controlled all of Indonesia as part of the Dutch East Indies. The Netherlands, like many other now defunct nations, was neutral in WWI and attempted the same in 1940.
World War II[]
As part of Fall Gelb, the Netherlands was invaded by German forces. The Dutch military was easily swept aside and the country fell under Nazi rule. The Dutch colonies in Indonesia remained under allied control until the Japanese invasion in early 1942. The last Dutch territories in South America and the Carribean soon fell under US occupation and were incorporated into the West Indies Federation, while Suriname became part of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.
Legacy[]
The Dutch people remain under the control of Reichskommissariat Niederlande, and the territory is slated to become part of the Greater Germanic Reich. Only time will tell what the fate of the Netherlands will be.
