Konstantin Vladimirovich Rodzaevsky (Russian: Константи́н Влади́мирович Родзае́вский; born 11 August 1907) is a Russian National Socialist warlord based in Amur. The leader of the more radical faction of the Russian Fascist Party, he has a chance to reunify Russia in an image similar to that of the Greater Germanic Reich.

Biography[]

Early-life[]

Konstantin Rodzaevsky was born in the city of Blagoveshchensk during the period of the late Russian Empire in 1907 to a Siberian middle class family. Though by the time the February and subsequently October Revolutions began, he never had sympathy for people who were rebellious against the Russian Empire. Little could he do to change the tide as he never was able to join the White Army in question, and subsequently upon their defeat was forced to move to Manchuria in 1925. It was at this point Rodzaevsky would find a weapon in which he saw as the only way to defeat new born Bolshevism: fascism.

Political career in the Russian Fascist Party[]

During his stay in Harbin, Rodzaevsky entered the academy in which he studied law and shortly after, joined the Russian Fascist Organization, which would then be a stepping stone towards his political goal. On May 26, 1931, he announced alongside several of his associates, the creation of the Russian Fascist Party, with him being the de facto leader of the party. During his time in the party, he met people like Mikhail Matkovsky and Nikolay Petlin whom he shortly befriended, all united in their struggle against Bolshevism. All of this would change during World War II.

World War II[]

While he was never on the frontlines, Rodzaevsky cheered upon the Third Reich's forces, seeing them as a force of liberation from tyrannical "Judeo-Bolshevism" that held Russians in captivity. However, what he never realized during this period is that the Germans never came to help the Russians, they came to destroy them. Matkovsky and Petlin both saw this and asked Rodzaevsky to come to his own senses, to which he at times had either ignored or have accused them of being against the Vozhd, thus sparking heated arguments on who they shall support.

The Soviet Union was eventually defeated, to which all of the RFP leadership praised, regardless of how they saw Germany. Though this was the beginning step of finally having chance to reclaim Russia, and it was at this time the cracks would finally break the unity of the whole party itself.

Siberian War and Russian Fascist Party Schism[]

During the Siberian War, Rodzaevsky saw a chance to get a hold of as much land as possible in order to prepare for an assault against the decaying remnants of the old Soviet government. However, during this time, the Russian Fascist Party schism culminated after the years of bitter rivalry between Matkovsky and Rodzaevsky, effectively seizing the port of Magadan and thus splitting the party into two parts. Even worse, the Tsarist remnants who resided in Chita who did not want to support either side broke off too due to the RFP being not interested in restoring the Russian monarchy. Rodzaevsky has thus become a paranoid man, having to not only deal with Russian minorities and communists, but also all potential traitors who might endanger his rule, as the traitors he once considered friends had ruined the plan to quickly demolish what remained of the Soviet remnants.

Present day[]

Now in 1962, Rodzaevsky has waited for a full thirty years, a full three decades of waiting of preparation against the enemies of Russian nation. If he would ever want to achieve his own dream, the dream of National Russia, the dream of him being her Vozhd, he would have to act now, in the most merciless way possible.

In-game[]

Konstantin Rodzaevsky is the weakest amongst all the three Heirs of Harbin leaders, with his own state being stationed in the middle of them. Not only that, Rodzaevsky would not have enough time to declare war on them first, and would instead have to fight defensive wars in order to beat them. Due to the nature of the AI, Magadan is the first one who will attack Rodzaevsky's state, while Chita will attack them some time later, as such it is advised for the player to finish off Magadan as fast as possible for he will not have enough troops to defend both borders. Once the two warlords have been dealt with, the only thing left to do after that is to conquer the whole region, though when fighting against either of the Soviet remnant states, the player would have to defeat them quickly, or else will have a hard time beating them when Alexander Men declares war on them.

After the reunification of the Far East is done, Rodzaevsky will then set on dealing with political problems of his new state. Those of which being the problem of minorities (with emphasis on Jews), status of women, as well as to clear the party of potential "corruption." All of this is solved by putting lists for Jews and other dissidents, as well as opening new concentration camps, placing women in their traditional roles as homemakers, purging the party again, and of course finally, forming the leagues of both fascist women and little ones alongside with publishing his ideological book called "Azbuka Fashizma" (Alphabet of Fascism).

After the completion of political issues, he then embarks on to implement a corporatist economy that seeks to unite the interests of all classes for the good of the Russian nation, which in practice, increases working hours and decreases payment of the working class, as well as outlawing strikes against hazardous conditions. Regardless, his reforms prove to be efficient in the long run eventually, as the concept of autarky is utilized, similar to that of the Reich.

Rodzaevsky then embarks on to reform his previously foreign-backed brigades and soldiers into an actual standing army, called the All-Russian National Army, and as such, the focuses give a good amount of boost in overall experience, training and efficiency that will be needed for reunification. He also has an opportunity to pardon the former sailors of the Red Navy and use the forces at his disposal.

Lastly, Rodzaevsky will have diplomatic options and problems to deal with. At this stage, he realizes that the Third Reich is not a friend of Russia, as they never respond to his letter he sends to their administration. He also sends a letter to the United States of America, denouncing them as the Elders of Zion (although should Francis Parker Yockey be elected, he will offer his support for Yockey's ideas), and for Japan, he congratulates them for their support and they give him the area of Birobidzhan as a gift.

At the super-regional stage, he enacts terror campaigns upon the newly conquered lands and purges the party again. Nothing much else will happen as Rodzaevsky has almost finished his mission and only thing left to do was to finish what he started almost forty years ago. Due to him being classified as National Socialist in-game, he is not able to unify with anyone at any stage, making him difficult to play. The boosts the player receives will nonetheless make it easier to unify Russia.

Quote upon unification[]

"Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsession mercilessly."

—Franz Kafka

Trivia[]

  • Depending on who rules the United States, Rodzaevsky's letter will have different content.
    • In the case of a Francis Parker Yockey presidency, he will send a letter of support to him.
    • In the case of a Barry Goldwater presidency, instead of the usual condemnation letter, he will send a specific letter dedicated to mocking Barry of his Jewish ancestry.
  • He is the only warlord so far to be able to get back the area of Birobidzhan from Japanese control.
  • Unlike all of the Russian unification event pictures that at their essence match the unifier's vision, Rodzaevsky's unification picture will show what it appears to be some form of a highway, with some people standing on the sides of it, and the context of the picture remains mysterious, for it does not indicate anything regarding Rodzaevsky at all, besides the sounds of screams and sipping of vodka, indicating the terror and alcoholism of Rodzaevsky.
  • Ironically, despite his hatred of communism, Rodzaevsky has far more in common with Genrikh Yagoda than any of the leaders for the other two White Russian warlord states (Magadan and Chita) - both representing the older half of a political party following an ideology on one end of the spectrum (Fascism/Communism), who must overcome a warlord state (Magadan/Buryatia) that broke off from the older warlord's state (Amur/Irkutsk) led by another warlord practising a far less extreme version of the ideology (Matkovsky, practising regular fascism/Valery Sablin, practising Leninism) as their first opponent, and will most likely die if they are not the one to unify the region (Yagoda has one possible exception in the case of the aforementioned Sablin, who can opt to spare him instead of execute him).
  • The cat that Rodzaevsky adopts, Mura, is based on a cat of the same name that serves as the mascot of the developer team.
