The People's Republic of Uzbekistan is an independent state in Central Asia. It is bordered by Kyzylorda and Aktobe to the north, Turkmenistan, and the Turkestan Legion to the south, Karakalpakstan to the west, and Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to the east.
