Foreign relations[]
In the past, they've been supported by the Organization of Free Nations and the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere in the West Russian War, a conflict against German-controlled Reichskommissariat Moskowien and others in the 1950s.
The other warlord states in European Russia were founded during the Front's collapse in the West Russian War and there are many in these regions who still hold sympathies with it.
Politics[]
The Front remains unwaveringly true to the goal of spreading the communist revolution across both Russia and the world. It is an authoritarian one party state lead by Marshal Kliment Vorosilov.
The other two most powerful figures in West Russia besides Vorosilov; are Mikhail Tukhachevsky and Georgy Zhukov, who govern Plesetsk and Ukhta respectively. Both men are held in high regard as some of the best generals across all of Russia.
National spirits[]
Luftwaffe Terror Bombing |
Every several weeks, Luftwaffe planes from the airfields of Reichskommissariat Moskowien fly over the warlord states of western Russia, gleefully bombing any civilian targets they find as a demented form of "pilot training". While they make life hell for rural communities and can occasionally slip through and rain fire upon provincial cities, they find that lingering for too long in Russian airspace risks interception by the remnants of the Soviet Air Forces. If the Free Aviators were not there to give the Luftwaffe hell at every opportunity, the situation in Russia would be far more dire. |
Veterans of the Long War |
For decades the Front has fought for the Old Union; against German and Russian alike. Thirty years of constant warfare, attrition, and training have steeled the Front's soldiers, backing them by experience and grim determination. They are the Soviet Union's finest soldiers, forged in the furnaces of war, of iron will and steely muscle. In their hands are placed the guns of the Motherland, and beside them rolls the best armor available. They can not, will not surrender, for there is always the Long War against the Hitlerites to fight, and if victory cannot be achieved, what is left for Russia? |
Agricultural Insecurity |
Regardless of legitimacy, military strength, or the quality of the Front's leadership, farming in the desolate wastes of the Arctic Circle is not a viable pursuit. Rationing is getting stricter and stricter as supplies begin to run dry, and the bombs of the Luftwaffe wreck a significant toll on attempts at trade. In order to secure food for the Front, greater and greater sacrifices, and more connections with reliable warlords, must be made. |
Military[]
The Front has one of the strongest armies of all the Russian warlord states, with battle-hardened veterans and experienced generals from constant warfare for over 2 decades. These veterans are not only experienced, but also unwavering loyal to the Union.
